Be for oss Hellig Olav. "Pray for us, St. Olav, Norway's eternal king. You who brought Christ to our people and country, servant of Christ, King Olav" 29th of July, also called Olsok is the feast day of St Olav, Norway's eternal king and patron saint of Norway. Olav Haraldsson (in old Norwegian Óláfr Haraldsson and Óláfr hinn helgi) fell during a battle at Stiklestad in year 1030. The battlefield is about a 60 minute drive from our Monastery. The body of St. Olav was taken by boat past Tautra on the fjord leading into Trondheim for burial. The fjord can be seen in the video. Harp: Sr Agnes
